The summer flew by. I decided that work is over rated and you miss a lot of fun while working. I love my job, I've never found any job or career to be equally fulfilling, but I think I've been spoiled with so many leaves over the past year. I'm ready for another one.... I have a short leavecoming in August, but unfortunately my family won't be with me. I'm going to India for a medical mission with Operation Smile in one week from now. I will be away from my boys for 13 days and it might be the end of me. I've become extremely clingy to Jaxon as the trip gets closer and I think he feels it, because he is also becoming clingy for the first time ever. We are also in the process of weaning and he is doing great, it's me that is struggling. Did any of you mom's have a hard time weaning your babies? I think after a year it has become a bonding time that I enjoy and it's the only time that Jaxon really sits still and I get to hold him:)

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!
I finally found something more fun than my own birthday, it was Jaxon's birthday! I thought all day about the great year it has been and how much happiness Jaxon has brought into our family. We had a party with some of our friends and family to celebrate. Jaxon had no idea the party was for him, but he was having a blast with his new toys and cousins. It wasn't until we gave him his own cake that he actually sat down for the first time. He loved the cake and was very serious about getting every last piece off his tray.

WOW! Angie, I can't believe you are going to India! I am in Germany right now, and left my 2 youngest kids with Jake for 17 days. It's hard, but if you're really busy, time will fly. Happy birthday to your cute little guy!
Angie!! You are going to India?? You are amazing! Happy Birthday to Jaxon!! He is too cute!
What a big boy! You would be so surprised at how big Kailie is. She's just shy of 30 lbs.!!! Got her same endless energy and it's a challenge to keep up with her in my wheelchair! India will be so neat, but I can relate to your struggle in preparing to leave your munchkin!
Happy Birthday Jaxon! Hard to believe it's been a year since we've had our boys huh? Um and YES I am having a hard time weaning as well....emotionally it is very sad as it's the only time that he will let me hold him quietly any more!!! AND it doesn't help that R will not drink any sort of milk substance (breastmilk, formula or milk) from a cup. He will happily drink water or juice but no milk, and I refuse to do bottles. So I am still nursing a couple of times a day so he gets something. It's a dilemma! You will have to let me know how it goes for you!
