ONE MONTH ALREADY

So, Mya is 1 month today and I decided it was time to update the blog. It all started on the evening of Aug 28th.... I was super grumpy all day and my sister Carrie came over, she told me she thought I was going into labor. She insisted on taking Jaxon up to my Brother-in-law's house for the night, so I could get some rest. Well, she was right. Around 11 p.m. I started having some irregular contractions and they never became regular, but I listened to my hypnosis C.D. to stay relaxed. At 1 a.m. Carrie insisted that I go to the hospital, because she knew nothing about labor and birth, but felt concerned. I didn't want to go and even told Carrie "go home, you are making me feel stressed." We went to the hospital and arrived at 1:57 a.m.
The L&D nurse checked me and she said "I can't even feel your cervix, you are fully dilated" I was shocked! I told Carrie to call my mom and the nurse grabbed my doctor, who was sleeping at the hospital on call that night. When they returned I asked if I could push and before they could say "no" my water broke. Dr. Stowers finished getting ready and said "now it's okay to push". Two pushes later at 2:20 a.m. I had a baby girl! She was so calm as she sucked her little fist. I thought I was having a girl, but when I saw her and held her for the first time I was so excited to have a daughter and I was instintly in love with her.
I wish so much that Ryan could hold her, she is so SWEET. She rarely cries and rarely gets held d/t her busy brother. Mya is a little angel with a very calm spirit. So, here are some pictures:
After Mya's first bath, Jaxon stripped down and jumped in her tub to try it out. And this is the first time Mya and Jaxon met each other.

AWWWW! Ang, I'm so excited for you! I love having a girl! We really need to get together when you are feeling up to it! I know having a new one can be quite overwhelming, but I DON'T know what it's like with your hubby gone...tear. So, call me! I could just even keep you company if you want!
