My little girl turned 1 today and we had a party last night, but because so many of our friends and family were not there to celebrate, I decided I needed to add to the old blog. What a year we've had together. Mya is one of the most patient people I've ever known. She came to me with an understanding spirit and didn't seem to mind that she had to take second to her demanding and spirited big brother. I should have guessed by her graceful entrance into this world, that she was a calm and patient person. Mya we love having you in our family. You bring so much balance to our LEO dominant home.
The party was great. Ryan loves to give our kids independence, so this wasn't the first time that she was given something delicious to eat with a utensil. She loved the cake, but I think she actually enjoyed sitting with the group even more. She loves to do everything Jaxon is doing.
At 1 yr Mya likes to walk, dance, laugh, sign, eat and play with Jaxon. She dances to any music and laughs when she hears others laugh. One of my favorite things about Mya is that she wakes up whispering and I often wonder how long she has been awake when I finally hear her. She is such a sweet heart.

Beautiful little angel,1st birthdays are really memorable. I have homemade invitations for my daughters for their 1st birthday invitations.

She is so cute! I love the first picture of her--such a happy girl! I can't believe she is already one . . . that means Ruby is coming up on one too and I am not even close to ready for that. i feel like we were just barely at the park chasing Jaxon and Wylie!
She is looking a lot more like Jax these days-- a red haired, blue-eyed version anyways! Jaron has kept his blue eyes, but it's hard to tell what his hair will end up being like (until it actually grows in....). Happy Birthday Mya!
